When a crisis happens, it matters that you have a safe place to stay. CareSouth provides safe accommodation in Nowra. We are a crisis/short term accommodation service for young people.
CareSouth crisis accommodation is an option if you:
- are between 16 and 24 years old
- are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
- attend school, TAFE, work or are looking for work
At CareSouth we can provide your own space (bedroom, lounge, kitchen and shower), you have time to sort things out, and you have our help if needed. We can come to appointments with you, connect you with youth agencies and/or help navigate things with your family or independent accommodation support.
We also offer an Outreach service for those struggling to stay at home or the accommodation they are in. As a part of the Outreach program we can offer short term support to both prevent and stabilise accommodation for any young person. Many of our crisis residents become a part of the outreach program after their stay with us as a part of our continued support.
We give priority to people from the Shoalhaven region or those with links to the local area. If you have drug and alcohol or mental health issues you will need to seek counselling services to stay in CareSouth accommodation.
